|
|
I spoke with a Clickbank employee last year, who told me that Clickbank had plans to pay affiliates via Paypal as well as by check. i.e. the facility would be available to choose which way you preffered to be paid.
This would help affiliates outside the US enormously, as they would not then have the problem of having to pay bank charges to convert the US dollar checks to their own currency.
When I asked when this was planned for, I was told sometime early in 2008.
Has anyone got any idea if their has been any progress on this?
regards
Roy Carter

Wow!
Thanks for confirming that Harvey.
I'm sure it will be a huge boost to affiliates worldwide, and will surely attract even more affiliates to Clickbank. Can't think why they haven't done this sooner.
As I now live in Cyprus, i'll be looking forward to it happening!

| It really makes no sense to receive your funds by PayPal, the more you make the more PayPal takes. I would look into other options like Wire Transfer or ACH, Direct Deposit, etc. |

I agree with Miles, PayPal is not exactly a 'better' option.
One disadvantage would be the exchange rate, it's usually worse than your local banks' rates. Of course, you do have the option of holding your US dollars till you get a satisfactory exchange rate. But that will defeat the purpose for most, since time is the major factor (I am assuming) for wanting the Paypal option.
That aside, I think it's great that CB is considering more payout options. It shows that they are forwarding moving, to say the least.
Good luck

| Does anyone know, off the top of their head, how much of your funds Paypal will take as their 'cut'? |

Isn't incoming Paypal transfer unless you have premium account that allows you to receive CC payments?
I would really like it when CB will have some electronic payment option. It's a royal pain to drag these paychecks to the bank on a regular basis

I believe it's 1.9% to 2.9% (depending on your volume with PayPal) plus $.30 per transaction.
As Miles said, I would have a hard time justifying that expense unless the payment from ClickBank via PayPal arrived much earlier than the payments by check. |

I believe there is no fee for receiving Paypal payments if you have a Personal account. Even with the small fee for Business/Premier accounts, that might be cheaper than the cost of the gas that it takes to run to the bank nowadays. |

I didn't know that clickbank takes direct deposit. If so that would be great! I hate waiting for a check by snail mail... |

Great news!
I wish Paypal makes their debit card international.
That way, I don't even have to spend a single cent
of cash...
Earn money thru Paypal and spend money via Paypal.
US owners should enjoy this... |

Good news even with the extra paypal charges.
I live in Spain, so it takes about 10 days for the checks to get to me, then it takes my bank about 3 weeks until the payment is clear.
Plus my mail is delivered to a local bar so the paypal charges will probably be less than the cost of the beers when i collect my mail!! |

That is an excellent news!!!!!!!!
I live in Canada and I am going to be doing a lot of traveling in the next few years. I don't want to have to return to Canada every pay period to deposit my clickbank checks.
It will be great if I can just get the money via PayPal. |
