When you're building links to promote an offer as an affiliate, you are given the option of adding your own tracking id. This is very useful and I highly recommend that you take advantage of this feature, paticularly if you're doing autoresponder marketing. Because you can actually see clearly which emails are being clicked and converted.

you don't need to generate the tracking id per se, you simply need to asd ?tid=xxx if the affiliate url ends with a backslish (/) or add &tid=xxx if it ends with a php varial in the url.

    eg
    http://cdjccdchbfbejhdehf.clickbank.com/?tid=xxx
    http://john.fatloss.clickbank.net/?pid=newprogramme&tid=xxx

I discovered a minor fault with this, the linkbuilder allows you to use hyphens in these links, but if you use hyphens the url breaks (at least in firefox it does). Worse still it might impact your conversions because for 4 days i had a tracking id with a hyphen and I made 0 sales. When before and after I had $100+ sales.

Thank you very much Karimium for sharing your experience. I was wondering about a possible impact of the hyphen inside the tid. Thank you for your explanation.
