Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions from those of you who have domains, and are marketing effectively. I am reading all sorts of reviews about paid webhosting since I've been having troubles with my old one.
What do you suggest?

I would suggest you to try with http://www.9cubehosting.com/ . this web host offers web hosting services starting from just $2.63/mo including unlimited space and unlimited bandwidth on all hosting plans. They also provide 30 days money back guarantee and 24/7 customer support too.

My personal sites are hosted with MyTrueHost.com. They've been great to me (especially the support) from the day I acquired a subscription to one of their loaded shared packages up to now. Though, I don't have them as my registrar, in which case NameCheap.com is always my favorite.

Hostgator would be a great choice. I have been with them for a couple of years now without any problems.

Or you might want to check out 1and1.com . I think they have some pretty inexpensive hosting options and a lot of times you can get a .COM domain name for only 99 cents.

I think GoDaddy will be a good choice.

Hello Cam,
I have registered my domain name with GoDaddy .com. And my website is hosted with Hostgator. I have been using both sites for more than 2 years without any complaints. Hostgator and GoDaddy are a good choice. There are great discount offers and plans well suited to various customer needs and requirement. I would suggest that you purchase a domain from GoDaddy and have your site hosted by Hostgator. They are reliable, cost-effective and safe.

Recently, Hostgator is throwing the best and biggest promotion. You might want to check their site for recent ones.

Go with godaddy for domain registration. You could register domain with godaddy for little as 99 cents.

As for hosting goes there are plenty of options available if you are looking for free wordpress hosting then try http://www.freehostia.com/index2.html..i have many wordpress blogs hosted with them.

if you are bit hands on then you could also try redhat's https://www.openshift.com/ platform. they provide 3 gears for free. it is built on top of aws. but openshift has a steep learning curve. you could also try digitalocean. i have nearly 5-6 instances hosted with them. super easy to use. their plan starts $5 https://www.digitalocean.com/pricing/. I got couple of months of hosting free by using this introductory discount coupon http://www.couponsmonk.us/coupon/digitalocean.com/. Not sure if it is valid now as well. You could try regardless.

I have used powweb, ipage, and fatcow, they are all good but ipage seems to have many offers, sometimes even 1 dollar hosting per month but you have to pay 12 dollars to cover one year.

Hostgator provides all the resources to its customers to make the kind of website one wish for. It is also well secured and safe from any type of mishappenings.

I've also found great success using Hostgator.

It's quite intuitive and cheap.
