Thoughts on which way is better...

Develop a killer campaign for a certain niche, (lets say widgets), pick 2 merchants and use both links and compare conversion after x number of clicks (both running identical ads)...

    or

Run x number of clicks for merchant A exclusively and then x number of clicks for merchant B exclusively and compare ?

or is there not difference or benifit for either way ?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts...

You would need to split the traffic at the same time to be valid. Otherwise your test will not account for differences in time. For example, one of my sites does more sales early in the week and the other does beter later in the week.

    Neither way is better.

    A better way is
    1. Send traffic to merchant.
    2. If you're making a profit, keep going with that one. If not, stop.
    3. Choose another product and go to step 1.

Who cares what converts better? Are you writing a trivia book or trying to make money?

    I agree with flyer.

If your making money, thats all that matters.

Of course, conversion tracking can improve and tweak your ads to get the maximum profit out of your ads.
