    Thanks Arun,

    Quote:

Your 9 sales from 0 Adwords ads might have come from repeat visitors who had the cookie set up when they visited first time.

Yes i know. BUT what made them all come and make a purchase on the same day ??? and why there are no cookie purchases for almost 4-5 days prior to that day ???

    Go figure !

    P.S.
I normally don't use adwords. I just started using adwords when sales droped to zero (last 4-5 days). I disabled adwords 2 days ago after noticing no difference in sales. I normally derive all my sales from free SE traffic to my pages plus the products sold last night where not promoted via adsense at all. So in other words they were not a cookied purchase via prior adsense campaigns as the products sold last night were not promoted on adwords to begin with.

I keep hearing from more and more people all the time that normally
have very good sales, that their sales have declined a lot this month.
A couple of them have emailed the merchant with the products they
are promoting, and I have as well, and the merchants say their sales
are still strong. This makes me believe that sales are going through,
but they either are not being credited properly or sales are not going
through for certain affiliates at times and the people are ordering from
other affiliates. I don't know how else to explain some days getting
15 sales and other days seeing no sales at all, with the same amount
of traffic from the same sources. I have been telling these people to
contact Steve about this, if more people speak up they will know
something is wrong, but for some reason a lot of these people are
afraid to do anything. I did see some sales later yesterday after
switching to the hoplink, although I am still not convinced this was the
problem. The direct to order form link had always worked for me in
the past, and it was still working at times this month, on and off,
although it was more off than on lately. Will have to wait and see what
happens with the hoplink the rest of today and for the next few days.
My sales did decline some the first half of this month also but not as
sharply as they did the second half. I made no profit the second half
after advertising expenses. This will be the first time in four years that
I have not made a profit in a pay period.
A few people were saying they were having record sales last week, (19th-25th)
much higher than normal. Others saying their sales were way down,
I had the worst week I've had in a long time last week and weekend.

    Hello Wayne:

I am a merchant as well as an affiliate. My experience has been that my own sales as a merchant have been way down this week.

Just FYI, I am seeing sales again this morning, keeping my fingers
    crossed that they keep coming.

This was something that happened to me and my partner a few months ago.

I was checking out our site because sales were way off. I tested the order link and it worked fine.

My partner called me (from 1 mile away, using same ISP as I do) and said, "I know why our sales are off. Our payment links are down."

Mine worked on my comp. His didn't on his.

About two days later, the same scenerio played out except JUST THE OPPOSITE.

There is definately problems on CB end.. whether it be with AV programs or something.. but there IS a problem.

On another note, I don't feel it's tracking. As a vendor, I am seeing sales drop as well. If it were all tracking, I would have large clumps of "none" sales, which I don't.

You know, ClickBank has done well for me over the last two years. I know they say there is nothing wrong now but there has to be. Realistically, why is everyone seeing the changes? If CB is not the problem, then why not help us look into the REAL problem?? Just My 2 cents..

    In reply to wayne,

I too can see sales picking up again for the last 24 hours. (my adwords campaign are still disabled though, until i can be sure that tracking of sales is fully on). Furthermore, small refunds are starting to creep back in as well - purchases made on previous month.

So hopefully the system is back on.

Re your question of "why not contacting CB and asking about it":

Nothing to do with fear and everything to do with why bother when i know that i will get a reply, something along these lines:

"We have no knowledge of any systems problems", "Sales are strong" "Everything is normal", "it is probably google", "your pages are probably not optimized", "you may have problems with your links" , "the big bad wolf might have swallowed your commissions before they got credited to your account" and other staff like that.

I just know for a fact that it was/is a major system tracking problem at CB, they know about it and hopfully are already looking into it.

Fingers crossed, it may get fixed now.

If no one contacts Clickbank about the problem, they won't know about
any problems. Sure, if only one or two people complain, nothing will
happen. But they won't know there is a problem if we don't let them
know. I have been telling everyone that I have been hearing from about
problems to let Steve know about them, so he can see this has been
happening to a lot of people, but for some reason a lot of people just
do not want to take the time or are afraid to do this. On the plus side,
my sales are looking good again. I am not going to start rejoicing yet
though, until I see it continuing for a few more days.

Edit: Just an update, but I had the best sales day Friday I've had since
the 9th. Finally had a profitable day again. Feels good to see a profit
again after so many days without one.

    Wayne,

yes I agree. People should let them know either by calling, email, or here in the forum. I haven't emailed or called but Steve has seen posts previously that discussd this and continually stated there were no problems.

All we are asking for is for CB to maybe look into it a bit.

Sales are still coming in good since later Thursday, I switched my
links back to the direct to order form link today and sales are still
coming in. I've heard from others that have seen their sales get back to
normal in the last few days also. So whatever was messed up last month
seems to have been fixed for now.
