    Hello,

My CB sales have been unusually low over the past week and, reading through the forums, I'm surprised how many other marketers are experiencing the same phenomenon.

I took a look at CB's order form, and found this new addition:

"ClickBank is the online distribution center for over 10,000 digital products and services that are delivered entirely over the Internet itself via web pages, files, or email. You are about to purchase one of those products. "

Wow. Where did that come from?

"You are about to purchase one of THOSE products. "

No copywriter would have written that.

Personally I feel this creates the wrong impression The way I read it, it's demeaning to digital products and is likely to put people off. Not the technical fraternity who are used to buying digital products, but "ordinary" folk, who are new to ebooks.

Please note that I make it very clear in my sales copy that it's a digital product, and I explain exactly what an e-book is. But I still think Clickbank's text on the order form - the most critical place in the sales process - is counter productive

    Anyone else?

After having several bad days in April, and after many private
messages back and forth with Steve, my sales have been back to
normal since the 29th of April. I've also heard from others that have
said their sales have been back to normal the past few days also,
after they had several bad days in April too.

I don't think they neccessarily needed to put that on the order form. I guess it is some form of advertising. And like you said, the average Joe could care less about how many products clickbank has. He just wants a safe and secure payment proccessor.

    Mac,

We made the change in the wording to keep Visa happy. They want us to make it clear to cardholders that they are buying downloadable products (some still think they will receive a real book or cd in the mail) directly from ClickBank. It isn't affecting sales though -- our system-wide sales are record-breaking again this week.

Was averaging around 2% conversion, since 4-23-04 have not made one sale. Same traffic from same sources. It maybe me (I don't know how) but something is outa whack somewhere.

Steve, don't listen to them other people, we don't need anymore upgrading, we just need to get it back to where it used to be when it worked right.

    "No Way"

You are not alone experiencing this rather ridicules inconsistency in sales and i agree with every word you said. Who need upgrades ?. I'm pretty sure that the majority of affiliates don't care about any upgrades and all they want to see is tracking going back to normal.
