I think both have their own features. Many people like Facebook and many people like twitter. I think Facebook is better than twitter but this is just my opinion. Facebook has many options to create your own pages, or pages for your products.

    Hi everyone,
Facebook and twitter are two social-media that are good visited and a good palce to for your business ad! This system I'm gonna share I've been doing it for a while now and it's working well for me!
I made a fanpage on Facebook were I promote my product! From my facebook-page I send everyone who is interested for the product-update to my twitter-account!
And from my twitter account I've put a link directing to my Facebook fanpage! Because from both account you while find new peoples who doesn't know nothing about your similar product!
So I made a combination of both! Just because I couldn't choose one!

Facebook and Twitter both helps me market my products. If I am forced to choose one from Facebook and Twitter, I go with Facebook. It is because Facebook makes more sense due to the direct connection between other persons. Twitter may overload with too many marketing messages and they may simply unfollow.

If you have a licensed business which in the United States is typically required if you make more than $300 in a calendar year online you can apply to get a Company Fan page on twitter. I have seen several of them but to my knowledge they are still in beta testing and by application only through Twitter Advertising.

If you are posting ads on your profiles and fan page directly you need to be posting helpful content as well to the tune of 98% content 2% Ads or you will lose most of your following's attention as the tune you out as a spammer. Too many advertisements and both services will lock the account and starting a new one under a different name to do the same as you did before losing the first account is both unethical and ripe for serious legal trouble.

How serious? Remember the notorious Facebook Spammer who got Jail Time and a Multimillion dollar lawsuit against him? Yeah he will spend the rest of his life in prison and everything he earned spamming and all assets are basically gone even if he does get a reduced sentence or qualify for parole, so be careful.
