    Hi there,

There seem to have been no commission sales in the last 3 days (i use to get approx $120 per day in commissions). Only $7 in total in the last 3 days.

Traffic to the pages is just the same, if not more....but there are hardly any sales reported recently (by CB).

It is starting to look very weird and i suspect that the problem is with click bank tracking the sales.

I also noticed that occasionally (just recently and for a few hours a day) the hop links redirect to a DNS error page.

Any other affiliate experiencing a considerable drop in sales recently.

    Thanks

I was having great sales this past weekend & yesterday (between 15-20 sales a day) and today they seemed to have suddenly dried up, even though the traffic is the same. Only 5 so far as of 9pm PT, and only 1 from a program where I was getting around 10 a day, even though the traffic is the same (it had a good conversion rate too, around 2%).
Not sure if it's Google Adwords or Clickbank, but I've had periods of inconsistent sales before and it's getting frustrating.

    The weirdest part.

I was running a massive adsense campigan for the past few days inorder to compliment free SE traffic (thinking maybe it is my problem altough my traffic reports are just the same as before).

I paused today all campaigns till i can see return to normal of CB sales tracking.

BTW i too experienced a record sales week just before it completely tanked and reduced to 1 sales in the past few days.

Knock Knock CB guys.....is everything OK up there ?? The inconsistency is really sticking out now. Same truffic with a 10% recent increase, same products, same conversion ratios but no sales reported (!??!?!?), nada, zero !

My experience is different, I was having the worst week ever last week
and through the weekend, definitely not a record week. Spent more on
advertising than I had in sales every day. This never happens.

I have a whole bunch of emails in my inbox from customers who say they are getting notfond errors when they try to purchase by clicking my merchant sales link.

I just tried it, and I saw the order form okay

I am having a record month. In fact, as of yesterday this is the best month I have ever had. I have a mix of affiliate and merchant sales. 80% merchant sales and 20% affiliate.

The weekend was up and Monday and Tuesday were both great days.

Today has been down about 50% but I attribute that to other factors -- nice weather(at least in my area), end of the month, no major promotions, etc.

    Just my 2 cents.

But James - how can you be sure of such figures ?

    That's called satire.

Harvey, as a matter of fact when I was posting I wrote: "Approximately xx%" and then I thought "wait a minute, I can use ClickSalez to find the exact number." And that is what I did. Took about 20 seconds. Smile

I did have to use my calculator to figure the final percentage. I think I need to add a breakdown of affiliate product sales -vs- merchant product sales. Would that be handy?

    James,

Are the percentage of your affiliate sales versus merchant sales
comparable to sales in the past? Because my sales as an affiliate are
WAY down since the beginning of last week.

Wayne, no they are actually higher but that is more because for the past few weeks I have been promoting affiliate products more aggressively. I know what you are getting at and I wish I could provide the answer but I don't have the data to make any statement about affiliate sales either way. All I can say is that my overall sales are up for the month.

I have had no sales in months. Ever since it was posted about the changing of hoplinks to another system (kount)? I have had no sales. I removed my old links from as many sites as I could find and later replaced them.
My feeling is that I am possibly a victim of pirating of my clickbank ID.
Thinking this I bought the "CLOAKER" but still have no sales since so many sites will not let me advertise using a link cloaker.
Anybody that can help me out there?
I posted a long time ago but nobody answered me so I gave up on getting a reply.

    Some thoughts for phartley.

No sales usually means no traffic or untargeted traffic. Are you still seeing visitors to your site?

Harvey's tip further up the thread would be a good idea - set your sales price to the minimum and make a purchase yourself. That way you'll see if the links you've got on your site are working. If you do not get credited with the sale, at least you'll have a specific case to take up with Clickbank support.

What kind of hoplinks are you currently using? If you changed things around when CB were doing all that experimenting last year, you may have not put them back correctly - post your link here and let the experts see if it looks okay.

    Martin.

Someone turned the spicket on for me Monday night, had six sales
after 5PM and 4 sales Tuesday morning, and then they turned the
spicket back off again. Sales dried up just like last week and weekend
again. I had switched my promotions over to a merchant outside of
Clickbank Sunday night after very poor sales for several days from
Clickbank, but decided to switch them back to Clickbank Monday
afternoon, when I was seeing sales Monday night and Tuesday morning
again, but now they have stopped again so I guess I will have to stick
with the other product for awhile until things straighten out anyway.
Can't afford to keep having these days of losing money. After doing
very well with Clickbank since early 2000, it looks like it is over for me.

I only had one sale all day Wednesday, not one sale for the product I
    spend $50+ a day advertising.

Question: Does anyone here as an affiliate host the sales page on
your own site and link directly to the order form, and are sales still
    normal for you?

On the plus side, I've been getting hit hard by search engine spiders
on other sites with other things I've been working on, so hopefully
this will help to get some other things going.

The good part (and a main reason for my concern that the problem is with CB) is i noticed that not only sales are well off, There are hardly any refunds (this pay period and the one before) which is very weird.

I'm with CB for almost a year now and used to seeing the refund rate at approx 10% (average) of pay period sales (my experience anyway).

It is good in a way but also suggests (again) that CB has some major tracking problems on their hands.

Anyone else experiencing slow REFUNDS ???

My refunds have been less lately, but that is because my sales are
WAY down. Without sales you can't have refunds. They were normal
for me though until the past several days.

I had slow refunds rate also for the record sales week. I usually see an average of 10% (of sales) beeing returned.

Only around 0.5% for the record week and for the average sales week occurring just before that record week.

    Very strange figures my end.

I haven't had a record week this month. The month started out about
average but WAY down the second half.
That does seem strange that your refund rate would drop so much.

For what it is worth, my sales have been down during the second pay period in April. I sell three of my own products and there is definitely decrease in sales (about 30% in both my own and affiliate sales). I would attribute this to several factors 1. slow time of the year 2. more competition in google adwords therefore less quality traffic 3. problems with clickbank
However what surprises me the most are huge fluctuations in sales: For example yesterday I was promoting someone elses product to my list. In the first few hours(early AM) I have delivered about 400 clicks to that site and made 15 sales. During the next few hours I have delivered another 500 clicks and made only 3 more sales. That kind of stuff makes me wonder...

You might as well get used to fluctuations like that. I've been promoting
products from Clickbank (or was) since 2000, and there have always been
fluctuations like that. I can understand having a down day here and
there, sales are always going to be up and down from day to day. I've
never had the big drop in sales like the second half of this month, and
have it last for so long before. I've very seldom have days where I
lose money, and have never seen a long stretch like I've had lately
with most every day losing money.

Looks to me like it is a CB tracking of sales problem.

I have a couple of scripts installed on my sites which enable me to see in real time who is browsing the site. Where they came from (page referrer) with the actual keyword they came with from google or yahoo, time spent on the page and the actual click to the CB merchant page.

I can see the same pattern of visitors, same referrers, same keywords which led them to the same page with the same product (with the same sales ratio). One thing is not the same and it's the actual sale or conversion. It is well off.

In other words. I don't think it is a google problem or time of the year. Nothing has changed (visitors wise) my end, the same pattern exist minus the reported sales (and refunds of prior purchases).
