I have been doing testing, and it seems to me the old hoplink loads alot faster than the new hoplink.

Also i switched some of my high traffic landing pages over to the new hoplink, and my sales seem to be about 30% lower.

Anyone else doing testing?

what are your results?

I've been getting sales using the new link, but the last couple of days
I haven't been getting any sales during the day, just during the evening
and early morning hours. So I think I'll just pause my advertising
during the day. I was using both type of links and wasn't getting any
sales during the day with either.

I only have been testing about a day & a half.

So I will wait some more days to more accuratly reflect my conversion rates.

Because anything could have happened. I have had days like that for that program before, ill just see what happens throughout the week.

I never really noticed the new link being slower, but I am on a
fast speed connection. But I'm not getting any sales with the old
link during the day either. This started happening Sunday midday
for me, been like that since, no sales until after 6 or 7 PM central
time zone. Wonder what's going on during the day.

I dont know, but on my side, just after I switched to the new hoplinks, ive made 6 sales on that day. (which was my record number of sales as im a newbie). And coincidently all of that sales took place at night or in the late evening. Since then, I have not made a SINGLE sale at all. For 4 days straight.

Before I switched to the new hoplink, i was making at least 1 sale a day.

Well, I finally got some sales during the day today. Hadn't had a
sale during the day all week. I used to have the sales page on my
site and link direct to the order form, but like an idiot I started making
landing pages and linking to the merchant with the hoplink. Well, I
switched back to the sales page on my site linking direct to the order
form today. It looks like it works better than the hoplink.

Just ditched the new hoplink...

conversion rates were at a all time LOW for me!

I have adwords conversion tracking turned on and the only landing page that was performing poorly, was the one with the new style hop links placed on there.

Has any one actually E-mailed them about this? That would probably do more good. I just E-mailed them with the URL to this thread, so they will probably see this soon.

Looks like there still in beta. Unless it's with Google, ie Gmail or Direct Deposit, I never try something when it's first made public/beta.

Yea, i ditched the new hoplinks too. This really sucks. Ive not made a single sale for 6 days and counting, and i used to make at least 1 sale a day in the past. Is this some kind of clickbank scam ? I wish they would respond.

I chose to do testing on my most consistant program i am marketing for. ( I have been promoting it for almost a year). All sales have been pretty consistant each and every day.

There have been days (of course) where sales were alot lower than usual.
But since i switched them over monday, sales were at all time lows (only for that program) monday through today. 5 days in a row.

For this program I have conversion tracking set up. On my high traffic landing pages. (3000+ clicks per day) , the conversion rate was really low monday. Tuesday and wednesday were still 30% below average. (sales wise) Thursday was an all time low.

I can usually maintain at least a 1-3 percent conversion rate on average days.

But 0.19% conversion rate (so far today)! -- I am spending $94 per conversion today! (according to google)

Put it this way, I have never lost money on this program in almost a year. I lost alot of money yesterday, and today I am way behind, and have a lot of catching up to do. Wednesday I made money but was only about $50 over from breaking even, but I get alot of refunds, so after the refunds for that day, i probobly broke near even.

I think the last time I broke even for this program was of November of 2004. (becuase of refunds)

I have trust in CB, and i am positive the hoplinks work. As I have had sales.

Everyone knows with Adwords, there are really weird things that happen.

They could just be simply sending me bad traffic.

or maybe my hosting server was encountering problems.

Or maybe the nation-wide comcast high speed internet outages are effecting it in some odd way.

Who knows, my error logs are normal.

I just ditched the new hoplinks just because i got a little nervous.

My other programs are performing great, so I am almost positve CB is running good.

Im just not sure about the new hoplinks.

Of course 5 days worth of testing isnt accurate in any way.

When sales return to normal, I will try it again in about a week.

Im not trying to scare anyone, I was still getting sales with the new hoplinks, just not as much.

More people need to do testing to more accuratly determine conversion rates with the old and then with the new hoplinks.
