Just wanted to state that my amount of daily sales anymore is not
really enough to get any good statistics on, don't get anywhere near
the sales I did from 2000 through March of 2004. But I did lose
money every day this week, until today don't know what the final
outcome will be yet. But as of right now I am making a profit anyway.
Don't really know what to think about all of this, but for now I am
going to go back to linking direct to the order form anyway. |

I asked them to set it up about two months ago.
E-mailed them my script - They said they would be more than happy to place it on their. _________________ EasyWritingBiz.com - How To Earn A Full Time Living Doing Freelance Writing On The Internet! 75%

So you are measuring from
(1) a Google ad to
(2) a landing page to
(3) a thank you page
Wouldn't a more accurate test be from (2) TO (3) only ?

If he is only tracking his conversions from Google, it wouldn't make
any difference if he goes from #1 to #3 or from #2 to #3. Actually,
with Google conversion code you wouldn't be able to just track from
#2 to #3, since the cookie is created once the person clicks on the
Google ad. As long as he hasn't changed his landing page, his
conversions shouldn't have dropped dramatically this week. I started
using landing pages back when Google made their changes, why I
don't know, but was losing money everyday this week. I switched back
to the direct link to the order form yesterday, and had my first
profitable day for the week, and I even had less traffic because I had
paused a lot of my keywords the day before because of the losing
money situation.
Edit: Also, the dollar amount of sales yesterday was the highest of all
week, even with the lower traffic. |

In fact, my traffic was about half of normal yesterday because of the
keywords I paused. But, just want to say again that I don't consider
the amount of daily sales I get anymore to be enough to get any accurate
statistics on, but I will stick to direct link to order form for now. Don't
need any more losing days. |

Wayne,
Not sure i understand. Do you mean you actually link from the G ad directly to the CB order form with nothing in between ? ( no merchant salescopy or landing pages etc.) _________________ Content sensitive, High Commission Paying ClickBank Data feeds.

No, I create my own sales page on my site, with permission from the
merchant, and then link direct to the order form. I used to use this
method all the time before Google made their changes, why I switched
to landing pages when they made the changes I don't know, just
wasn't thinking I guess. |

Anyone tried linking directly to the CB order form with nothing in between. Pre-sale on the ad and hop directly to the order form ?
I see why it might not work, but on the other hand, I will not be surprised at all if it doe’s. _________________ Content sensitive, High Commission Paying ClickBank Data feeds.

I don't think the pay per clicks would allow this? And I think it would be
very hard to sell directly from an ad. |

| True, i just re-read the TOC. They do not allow this, a landing page is a must. |

Wayne,
Drew is using these stats to say that the old hoplinks
perform better than the new. But the step from 1 to 2
introduces an extra level of uncertainty unless he is
alternating the split testing.
Drew - did you simply use the new format only for a period
as opposed to switching from old to new for each click ?

I don't know how he is tracking conversions, but if he switched an
entire campaign from the old link to the new link, then his conversions
shouldn't drop dramatically. Guess he'll have to explain more in detail
what he is doing. If he is only switching part of a campaign to the new
link, and leaving part of it with the old link, then it would be a different
story. |

Yes I understand what you are saying about the split testing...
I havn't did any split testing yet, I just switched my links on my landing page for about 5 days.
Has anyone else done split testing? _________________ EasyWritingBiz.com - How To Earn A Full Time Living Doing Freelance Writing On The Internet! 75%

| I changed over to the new hoplinks for my top 3 campaigns back on April. 12. Sales have been about the same. The conversions for my top 2 Campaigns have been about the same. I am getting much more sales on my 3rd campaign, but then I am getting more clicks. I'm getting sales at all hours, morning day and night. I haven't tried to test if the new links load slower than the old ones. 4 days of testing is to early to tell yet. |
