    Issue 62: April 17, 2005
    Harvey Segal, Editor

Have you noticed this recent addition to the ClickBank rules
    for selling a product ?

'You may also offer shipped delivery of printed media
(books, CD's, and DVD's) as a courtesy to qualified
customers (eg, US and Canada only), provided the shipped
media is clearly complementary, and not essential to the
operation of the originally downloaded digital product.'

I wonder how we can make good use of this.

Would it be a way for example to help reduce refunds ?

If you have some ideas why not pop over to the ClickBank
    Success Forum and tell us

As you know an intelligent posting will help to attract
clicks on your sig file link. Here's an article I wrote on
    this subject

Another change at ClickBank is the introduction of a new
(additional) format for the affiliate hoplink, viz

ClickBank claims that this may provide higher conversion
rates because 'the personalized domain name will not be
recognized by filters and spyware that block

    Is this so ?

There's debate going on at the forum, some people claim the
new hoplink is slower than the old.

Again, you are welcome to join in. It's a very busy forum,
and we've just had our 1000th member sign up - so it's a
great place to advertise: our rates remain the same.

Our members range from super affiliates to newbies but I
think we should spare a thought for one very poor (i.e
    poverty stricken) affiliate.

He visited this page where I sell a very inexpensive book
called Making Money With Affiliate Programs

So desperate was he to avoid paying $17 for this book that
he made these attempts to try to locate the download page

Maybe if he steps forward I'll give it to him for free.

And explain that there are security tools which conceal the
    download page.

Some of these are very complicated but I've just found one
    which is very neat.

You simply paste some code into your thank you page.

It's called CB Download Manager which is slightly misleading
because it can also protect downloads for other merchant
accounts (such as PayPal and 2CheckOut).

Even neater, it allows you to easily offer access to bonus
products or multiple downloads. It can handle the
distribution of free books and build a customer list for
