    THE CLICKBANK GUIDE

    Issue 73: Oct 23, 2006
    Harvey Segal, Editor

WARNING - for both Affiliates and Vendors.

You may have seen a flurry of sites dropping out of the
    ClickBank Marketplace.

    According to ClickBank Security

    1) They are closing or declining accounts which violate the
    following:

**Sites that are misrepresenting the product.
Examples: "data entry" and "type at home" sites.

    **Sites making unsubstantiated claims.
Example: "Easily make $1000 a day".

**Sites misrepresenting earnings or showing images of
    Clickbank checks.

    2) They are also looking closely at sites where the product
offer is basically having the customer sign up for 'free'
ClickBank affiliate accounts and calling it "data entry"

    3) They are sending notices to vendors who maintain for two
    consecutive months

    - a 15% or above refund rate
    OR
    - a 1% or above chargeback rate

Here is a sample mail they will receive

    ------------------------------------------------------------

In reviewing your account credits and debits history, it has
come to our attention that your account's chargeback
percentage has surpassed our 1% acceptable limit for 2
consecutive months. Please carefully review the following
suggestions and take the appropriate actions in the interest
of lowering the amount of chargebacks that your account
    incurs:

1)Evaluate your website and clarify any ambiguous or
    confusing sections.

2)Increase the received value of the product itself.

3)Improve your customer service by adding staff and/or
simplifying the site's customer service navigation.

4)Review your refund receipts to pinpoint problem areas.

    5)Display contact information more prominently.

Please respond and let us know what type of actions you plan
on taking. If your chargeback rate does not decrease within
30 days, we will be forced to raise your return allowance to
a higher percentage. Eventually we will have to deactivate
the account if the chargeback rate cannot be improved upon.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

    MY ADVICE

    AFFILIATES
    ===========

You should periodically check that your hoplinks still lead
    to active sites

    VENDORS
    ========

Take heed of ClickBank's suggestions above.

Even better grab a copy of my book "Stop Those ClickBank
    Refunds !"

    I personally applied
    Quote:
1)Evaluate your website and clarify any ambiguous or

and have seen my refund rates drop substantially while conversions remained the same.

If the customer expects X and you give him Y what do you think will happen?
