    Issue 131: Dec 13, 2006
    Harvey Segal, Editor

    Hello SuperTips readers,

    I've just become EXTRA productive.

    How come ?

Well I now run a dual monitor system i.e. I have an extra
    monitor attached to my computer.

Having a second window on another screen allows me, for
example, to compare two files, to copy and paste from one
screen to another and to have a program running on one
screen while doing work on the other. All without the
hassle of continually minimizing and maximizing

    Highly recommended.

I'm always looking for ways to simplify or automate my

Back in Issue 111 I explained that I needed to sell an
item with Paypal but did not fancy re-learning the
Paypal instructions about creating a button, encryption,
security and the like. Or of capturing contact details
    of customers.

And so I chose DLGuard to handle everything for me.
What's more, it was very easy to install.

Author Sam Stephens has now added more great features
with version 3 and made it even SIMPLER to install.

Instead of uploading files and changing permissions -
which was easy but always carried a slight element of
risk - you now just run a program, sit back and it's all
    done for you.

And that's why Sam is in my hall of fame.

I never cease to be amazed at the ingenuity of Internet
    marketers and software developers.

One day someone wondered how to make a web page more
enticing to the visitor - and invented the pop-up.

As more and more sites started to use pop-ups the public
began to get annoyed with them and thus was borne the
    pop-up blocker.

Not to be outdone developers fought back with
    unstoppable pop-ups.

Can it go any further ?

Well yes. Someone looked at the whole situation and came
up with a new way of thinking.

If the public hate pop-ups so much then why are we
continually trying to impose these upon them ?

Why not have a new type of pop-up which is unobtrusive.

And he created a new tool. One which I've been playing
around with now for a good few hours - which I can now
afford having made all those productivity gains.

And thinking about a myriad of ways to use it.
