Miles: All right. I heard some rumors on forums that you guys are looking into PayPal as a means to pay affiliates in addition to check or direct deposit. Is there any truth to those rumors?
Dush: We looked at that. But what we’ve found is that disbursements through PayPal cost clients more money because PayPal takes a sizeable chunk out of it. So then we looked at what we call ACH, which is automated clearinghouse, and it is like a wire transfer direct into your account. We’re putting that in place for anybody that wants it.
So we have two versions of wire transfers – one called ACH and the other called XACH. ACH, automated clearinghouse, handles wire transfers domestically in U.S. dollars. XACH is international ACH, which handles wire transfers in many currencies. There are about eight or nine countries to which we can XACH – most of the Western European – for example, it’s U.K., Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Singapore, Hong Kong, Switzerland, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and so on. So most of the countries in which you would do business. It doesn’t include countries like Bulgaria or Romania, Poland and all of those.
But in all these countries that I talked about, we can do wire transfer immediately. So the money clears into your account the instant we send it. Speed of light. |

Compu,
I know - when I read the interview I immediately contacted ClickBank
for clarification of the Paypal issue.
I'll report back when they reply

XACH would be great news..it works well for CJ and google.
Next we need them to sort out some of the other inherent problems..
people buying through their own links (at least the obvious ones!)
Serial refunders. |

It baffles me as to why they wouldn't at least provide PayPal payments as an option, as per the interview. They are already set up within the Paypal network because they accept payments through them.
The Paypal fee for receiving money from another PayPal member doesn't apply to people with personal accounts. Even with the possible fee, a lot of people would still use it based merely on convenience.
They should at least give people that additional choice and leave it up to them, instead of making the decision for them based on the fee. |

Well whatever people say against PayPal, it certainly won't cost me more than $40 per cheque to convert the money to Canadian money like it does for a cheque. People from America don't really understand the extra costs that come from recieving a cheque from another country.
The PayPal option will be a very solid addition to the Clickbank system. |

I have now been informed by ClickBank that payment to clients through PayPal
will not happen 'in the foreseeable future'.
Sorry to dash your hopes but I was originally told it would happen 'soon'
However ACH/XACH may prove a cheaper alternative

I see. Thank you, Harvey, for the prompt response.
That's okay, I think ACH/XACH is a better alternative. |
